Campaign Story

Noah and I married in May 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, in front of our parents, siblings, and witnesses. Our wedding was complete with homemade masks and social distancing – small but perfect. Despite the pandemic, we knew that we wanted to start a family but the last few years have been marked by uncertainty, job loss, financial challenges, and grief.

I had a miscarriage in May 2022 and in 2023, after a year of infertility, we started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist for treatment. Fast forward another 12 months, and our dream to start a family has come at a significant cost. To date, we have spent over $7,000 for a diagnosis of unknown infertility. I have had a full work-up, one surgery, two failed IUIs, plus two miscarriages while being treated for hypothyroidism and other autoimmune disorders. Our doctors recommended that we undergo two rounds of IVF for the cool price of $40,000 plus an additional $10,000 in medication per round. This is completely unworkable and the financial burden of fertility treatments has strained our resources such that we decided to relocate to Haifa, Israel to build our family.

This fund will help us establish a life in Haifa, set up a home, and cover initial out-of-pocket medical costs for our IVF journey.
